Blog posts are suitable for:

  • project reports,
  • event summaries,
  • methodological reflections,
  • announcements or
  • short educational articles.

Example: Green HPC (Path in Git-Repository: content/english/blog/green-hpc/index.md)

2. Documentation

Documentation pages provide structured technical or educational information, for example:

  • software installation guides,
  • HPC usage tutorials,
  • workflow explanations or
  • introductions to computational methods.

Example: Energy Measurement (Path in Git-Repository: content/english/documentation/hsuper/energy.md)

3. Wiki / Docs-Style Trainings

This format is intended for modular self-learning content and step-by-step educational material.

Examples include:

  • introductions to HPC systems,
  • parallel programming tutorials,
  • data management workflows or
  • software-specific training material.

These contributions are usually organized hierarchically and may include:

  • images,
  • code snippets,
  • exercises,
  • downloadable files and
  • references.

Example: HSUper and Gurobi (Path in Git-Repository: content/english/documentation/gurobi/)

4. Interactive Trainings with Adapt Authoring Tool

The HPC Portal also supports moderated and interactive learning formats created with the Adapt Authoring Tool.

These trainings may include:

  • quizzes,
  • interactive scenarios,
  • guided learning paths,
  • multimedia content and
  • self-assessment elements.

This format is particularly suitable for structured online learning modules and asynchronous learning environments. If you want to work with Adapt Authoring Tool, please contact us. You will need your own account for the software.

Example: HPC Workshop 1 - A short Introduction to HSUper and the LINUX Terminal (Path in Git-Repository: static/courses/hpc-workshop-1-a-short-introduction-to-hsuper-and-the-linux-terminal)

5. General Contribution Guidelines

When contributing content, please ensure that:

  • materials are understandable and well-structured,
  • technical terminology is explained where necessary,
  • sources and references are properly cited,
  • sensitive or protected information is not uploaded and
  • contributions follow applicable licensing and copyright regulations.

⚠️ If we can assist you in selecting the right format for your offering, please feel free to get in touch. We would also be happy to develop learning content together with you and explore what additional multimedia teaching and learning formats are available to present your material. ⚠️

The HPC Portal is intended as a collaborative and evolving knowledge environment. Community contributions are therefore not only technically possible but explicitly encouraged.
